My turn came..

The priorities for FY25 have unfortunately led to changes in our team. I am one of those affected. It’s not hopeless. I’m not angry or bitter, just a bit disappointed. But life goes on, and so will I. I will look for something sustainable, and reflect on what to do next.

VMware – A Journey of a Lifetime

So, my turn has come. Now in 2025, my time at VMware, VMware by Broadcom, or simply VMware, drew to a close. As I sit here reflecting, my mind is full of memories, and my heart is filled with gratitude for what has truly been an incredible journey, one that began in November 2013. It has been a time marked by innovation, collaboration, and genuine camaraderie – a chapter of my life I will cherish forever.

Working at VMware has been something truly special. From day one, it has been a company that places people at its core – colleagues, customers, partners – all playing a vital role in fostering a culture of trust, growth, and unity.

It is rare to find a workplace where going the extra mile feels completely natural, where investing your personal time is something you do gladly because the work is meaningful. This was never mandated; it was simply the collective drive of everyone fortunate enough to be part of this incredible story.

What has made this journey truly unique are the people. I remember each and every one of you – those I’ve had the privilege to work alongside, whether it was on major projects, minor challenges, or over a coffee during a break.

Every single one of you has contributed to a work culture defined by generosity, positivity, and teamwork. That is a rarity in today’s world, and it’s something I will carry with me as a treasure.

A Historic Journey

Being part of a company that began as a vision to virtualise the IT world and grew into a global leader transforming the entire industry feels nothing short of historic. We’ve all played a role in this, and it’s a sense of pride I will always hold close.

What’s Next?

As with any ending, this is also a new beginning. The road ahead remains halfway uncertain, but one thing is clear: the values, knowledge, and memories I’ve gained from VMware will always be with me. I look forward to new opportunities, new adventures, and meeting new people who will inspire me just as much as you all have.
